I have a geranium (not usual, but more unusual kind, sorry but don't know the name) and I am supposed to dead head the blooms. Do I pinch off the dead ones or cut them off? And how far down?
I wish I knew the name of the kind I have, but when I got them, it only said 'geranium' on the info pick stuck in each pot.
deadheading
I usually just snap the dead bloom stems off at the bottom on the stem. They usually snap off fairly easily. I don't think its a necessity to deadhead them, but just do it for a better appearance.
