How do I take care of my Aucuba japonica 'Gold Dust Plant?

Visalia, CA

Just received this plant as a gift from one of my students. It's beautiful! I do not have the best green thumb and need some advice on how to keep it alive and thriving. I live in Visalia, CA where the temps. will soon be hitting the high 90's to 100+ degrees. Any suggestions?

I can assure you that your Aucuba japonica (Gold Dust) will need mostly "if not all" shade in your zone. The foliage on mine burnt even in my zone when I had it planted in an area which received alot of direct sun hours.
