I have a very small area by my front walk with sedum groundcovering already there. I think it would look nice with something else that will complement each other but I don't know what will work well there. Any suggestions? I just want one thing behind the sedum that won't hurt the sedum and that can cohabitate in the same bed. Oh and it's full sun and only about 1' x 5'
a good pairing with sedum
Maybe daylilies?
Sedum can take a lot of abuse. I'd match it up with other drought tolerant plants, ornamental grasses.
Are you looking for taller plants, flowering plants
I have found some of the low-medium height sedums with lighter colouring look interesting when interplanted with a dark-leaved english ivy (hedera helix varieties). They usually grow together thick enough to choke out weeds if they have good soil to munch on.
