Oh my! I can't believe I am the first in the new room. Does that mean I don't have to sit in the corner?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

This room has no corners.
It's round and the walls are lined with silk.. just like one of those tents in Marakesh ;)

But if you misbehave, you'll have to feed the camels!! Lol!!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

No, you still have to sit in the corner, you just get to choose which corner. :O)

Edited to say, I didn't know it was a round room!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

ROFL!!!! And you're sober!!! Oh my Cookie!!!

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

I'm here and so is Charley, in your round tent. We will stand near the door, for convenience.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Please be seated, Charleen.. there are ample cushions and strong Turkish coffee.. along with some Baklavas!
For Charley there, I have some fresh carrots. Charley's a money maker.. we have to treat him right.

We're off to Benji's. An out of state eatery that serves home made food. So good.. especially the pasta! Oh boy.. more insulin!

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Well made the appt with the urologist this morning.....it's on the 28th that is the next time he comes into town.I'll just keep drinking a lot of that ucky gatorade....LOL.I have no idea what they do when you have a bad kidney,I know nothing about the kidneys......guess I need to research.I know my kidneys have aways been a little touchy, like nutrasweet will shut them down so I have alway steered clear of such stuff.I drink a lot of water all the time.............I have no idea.Just think and mark it on the calender "Synda is clueless for once in her life" .........roflmbo !!! One thing was good there was on sugar or infection in my pee.......LOL just other bad stuff.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I want to go to Benji's, that sounds good! LOL LOL LOL LOL!! I'll take this cush

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Why do they have you on Gatorade? Seems Cranberry Juice, water, apple juice, anything like that would be better for you than Gatorade.

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

I need the electrolytes ,I was also severely dehydrated.

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

OK going to finish up dinner...........BBL

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Oh that makes sense. Can you get a flavor that you like, or is a little more tolerable? Some of those are disgusting and others are pretty good.
YUM Dinner! I'll be there at, well, if I drive all night... lol!

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Synda, be careful that gatorade doesn't mess up your blood Pressure.
Please be careful. It makes me dizzy when I drink it.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Jaye, Doug has a friend that is a Supervisor at SSA and she said that his case is good enough to where he doesn't need a lawyer. I had gotten a lawyer when I filed, and all they did was send me the same letters that SSA did. Let's see I think I got 3 letters and one phone call and they wanted $800 but SSA told them that was too high and lowered it to $607. But at the time I got the letter I told them that I had a lot of doctor bills and the bankrupty lawyer to pay and could not afford to pay the $607 in one lump sum. I asked them if I could make small monthly payments and I have not heard back from them and that was in Nov. So I don't know what they are doing. So no news is good news I guess.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

A SS lawyer should not cost you anything out of pocket. They usually take cases on a contengency basis, which means they get paid if they win the case. That is what I did, but had to have 2 denials letters from SS first. Then the lawyers took 2 years, but I finally got approved. Then the State says they can only take a percentage of what I got, and no more than $3000.00. I never paid anything out of my pocket.
This is our new Acadia! We fnally got all the paper work done, and insurance about 3:30 this afternoon!
One thing I learned, is that you can go to the place where you get your license plates, and get a form for your Dr to fill out, that makes handicap persons exempt from paying sales taxes on a new vehicle. It can only be on your primary car. That saved us $1800.00 today! ^_^

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Ooooooo Aaahhhhhhhh really pretty!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Wowser LK!! Indeed, that's a beaut!!
Vehicular sales tax differ from state to state. Here in NC, every year, we pay tax on all 3 vehicles (according to their sales value).
Whereas in La., I only paid once, at the time I bought it.

Okay, I'm ready for a spin in your new Acadia..... if only you're not that far away :(

Good night my sistahs.

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Synda-I was thinking what Crissy asked-can you get a different flavor. The only one I like is the Lime on and DH loves the Grape.

Tante and Auntie M-I think the reason your Luna's did OK is that most of that family is hardy as all get out-I have 2 Luna's in my garden that come back every year.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone.
Hope your all have a great day!
Breakfast is ready, we are having coffee, OJ, scrambled eggs, crisp bacon, and fresh fruit!

Jaye, wow. I don't think I would like to pay every three years on the cars! OUCH!

Another dealer in San Antonio told to to make sure we told who ever we bought a car from, that I pay no sales tax, as I am permanately handicap. So when we did the paper work yesterday, the finance lady knew nothing about this, so I gave her the forms signed by my Dr, and she was really surprised. Guess it is not well publicised information.
So I am telling everyone that if they purchase another car, make sure they save that money.
Off to get more sewing done, I am so far behind, and need to get it done!
Later

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Morning ladies.
I think so too, Stacey. Those Lunas are very hardy!
Yep LK, the money we could save every year :( But again, what is one to do when your business also depends on vehicles.
I'll be MIA most of the day, got more sewing to do too.
You all have a nice day and stay COOL.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Thanks for the info Tink. I really knew nothing about the hibiscus when I bought it other than I fell in love with the color and the bloom period. Another one open this morning so this makes 5--if only they lasted for more than a day. Tell me about the seeds where the bloom comes off.

Another scorcher today but planning to stay in the house. Took son out to celebrate his birthday (belated) last night--had a good time. Kim has been downloading movies from Netflex onto her computer then we can watch them on the TV. Got hooked on the BBC series of Robin Hood (some really good eye candy Cookie) and ended up watching until 1 this morning. I am now so groggy--serves me right.

Okay Jaye, if I have to feed the camels when I am bad, then you put a muzzle on them. LOL I know how they spit and bite--been there, done that.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

the dr. said i cannot travel. i have to have more tests, see the cardiologist, and this medicine might make my heart stop. or beat too fast or it may work. have to take my pulse and blood pressure 6 times a day, and call the dr, if my pulse gets in the 50s or if blood pressure gets too low

Fostoria, OH(Zone 5a)

You all know I live in a retirement community condo so they take care of the grounds. I have been trying to supplement the bushes with perennials a little at a time. Today they sent the landscaping people around to trim the bushes and, would you believe, they trimmed all of the spirea that were blooming so beautifully! I couldn't believe they went around a made all the blooming bushes round and neat, but took off all the blooms. I found I have a small bird nest in the holly bush right outside my front porch. Two babies and the parents are so good about getting food and stuff for them. I told the landscaping guys that they had better not touch that bush or even near it...I don't want those birds scared to death.
Of course they left all of the weeds in the mulched beds. They said they would come back tomorrow and use Round-up on all of it! If they kill all of the perennials that are in those beds I will be really upset. Maybe having someone else take care of things is not such a good idea?
They also cut the grass when it rains and cut it too short so it burns. No gardeners in this bunch!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

So sorry to read that Sis Kathy. For once, please follow doctor's orders, than hopefully you'll recover in time for the reunion. Sure would LOVE to see you and Michael there.

Janice, what they need is a little horticulture 101 from you. I am sure they'll end up thanking you for giving them some knowledge that's useful in their vocation.
We have our neighbour's son that comes here and literally whack everything and run down the plants if they are too low to be noticed from his lawn mower.
I worked with him for a week, explained to him why it's important that the grass be not shorn too short.. why the holes needed a layer of gypsum before planting.. and why not to prune the crepe myrtles in the fall.
Now he takes pride in his work, and brings his kids to show off the blooms and of course to harvest the blue berries. His sweat too, even though Kel's paying him!!

Maid M., at least you don't have to milk the camel!!! ROF!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Milk them? You can do that? LOL Nope thank goodness--it was bad enough trying to get up on one to ride it with his nipping and spitting. Once is all, thank you.

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

They didn't like you. they say they will spit when they don't like you. Isn't that strange?
they milk donkeys too over there. Interesting folks. They say it makes really good soap. they sell it in France.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Kathy, sorry to hear of your ailments, but as everyone else has said, Please listen to the Dr.
Please know I am sending lots of thoughts and prayers for a very speedy recovery, and that your meds work well for you.
((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))

Janice, so sorry to hear you have a yard man that does not know what they are doing. Maybe you can go talk to management, and ask for the job, or at least train the ones they have! Geesh, I would be so peaved if they cut the blooms like that!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Charleen, when it comes to spitting, it's equal opportunity!!!
I've never been spit at, but my DH and his colleague got 'wet' and Maid M's right.. they don't like to be be rode on.
I almost got thrown off if not for the handler.
I'm talking with my sister who lives in France right now and she says donkey's milk is VERY expensive as there are very few donkeys. "Annesse Lait"...how fancy!!

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

When I first got my donkeys I read up on them and they are very interesting Critters. Ask your sister if they make Salami (which I love) in France from mules. Not not Charley, They ain't. But I read that two.
Maybe I read too much. Yep, I heard it was expensive too.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Charleen, the Italians were the first to create Salami out of donkeys during WW2 due to the scarcity of meat.
Heard they taste better. I sure don't want to taste Charley.
Cover his eyes..

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

ROFLOL well Charlene if they didn't like me they didn't like their handler either. We were visiting St. George Monastery when we encountered a group of Bedouins and that is when I got to ride the camel. Started down the side of the mountain leading to the monastery itself and I literally jumped off. Nope! flat ground was on thing but on a narrow trail on the side of a mountain. NO WAY!!!! The group of engineers we were with had a great time laughing at me that day.

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

I am so glad You survived all that. Marion.
Heavenscape, I better cover his ears too. We don't want our Darling mule to be worried. I went out in the pasture and had my little poo bucket I was leading a longear Parade, those critters love me and I am so glad.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Charlene, I did survive for 2 months --my late husband was on a job assignment I went with him the second time. A wonderful time in my memories and one that I will always be thankful I got over my fears and did.

Longears parade. Well, you know we do have Mule days in November not far from us in Climax, Ga, don't you Charlene. Mules and donkeys rule the day!!

(bestest fairy)Tempe, MI(Zone 5b)

Auntie M-for the seeds it is tricky timing. You need to get little net baggies (like the ones with the drawstrings at Michaels for weddings) and put it around the bud AS SOON AS THE FLOWER FALLS OFF, cinch the baggie REALLY tight and wait for the seeds to fall into the baggies. If you don't do it this way, you will end up with little bugs in the seeds-TRUST ME:) I had saved mine and at first thought they were fine. About a month later, looked in the baggie and a ton of grody little bugs-threw them all away:(

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Okay. Not sure yet if I want to try this or not but hadn't a clue how to start in the event I did. Thanks sweet.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Stacey, I hardly ever get any seed pods to get seeds from! is it just too hot here for them to make seeds?

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Hi girls,
All I have wanted to do today is sleep.......As far as the Gatorade i do get 2 quarts of grape put in a packet of grape kool aid and a half cup of sugar and it is more tolerable......LOL.

OMG donkey / mule meat.......No I could never !
