Look at the nice assortment of different blooms and vines! Just fabulous!!! Your strictocardia is getting huge! I can't wait to see your blooms on it! I have some seeds of that vine that I need to start soon that I got from Gordon. He told me they came from Reunion Island. :-)

Jackie - Here is your Fuji no Sora. This vine has the largest blooms on it. It's really amazing and a sight to see! Thanks again for the seeds. I will grow another one out to see if I don't get the mutant blooms. (Fingers crossed)

Debra, so sorry about your back. I know how painful that can be.
Love the bright blue bloom and eager to see your Blue Youjiro
when it blooms .I've lost my Stictocardia so anxious to see yours.
Hope your back gets better soon.
Becky, Oh my gosh, that's absolutely beautiful. Do try another sd though
to see if you can get the cross to show up. I need to start one too. I have
at least 20 or 25 more sds I want to start.
Here's my turbinata blooming in a 3 inch pot. Purple not pink

Here's my contribution for today, N26; this photo was taken near sunset, and the flower is still wide open. It was a cooler day today and somewhat overcast. The original color in the morning was a more deep red with the blue streaking on the flower limb. Look at the leaf variegation pattern, ahhhh!

Here is N29, huge blue first flowers on this vine!

Jackie - I do have plans to grow-out another of your seeds. I can only grow so many at a time this year with the container gardening that I have had to resort to. (sigh) I miss the days of growing 25+ MGs at a time. lol Hopefully I'll get one of your unusual crosses from last year's vines. I loved it!

I have started getting ripe seeds from Sidare. I absolutely love that vine! I think I am going to hang some hooks from the roof of my mini-pergola so that I can hang a couple of pots to plant more Sidare in. Maybe one pot on each side in the front. It gets less sunlight, but enough I think that the vines would still do well there. I was amazed at the number of blooms I had on that one vine and have a lot of seed pods developing. It was a very fertile vine for me. :-)

Helena - I love, love, love your Sazanami! Fingers crossed that you get seeds from that blue beauty! I am so glad the Pink Porcelain Blizzard came true for you. It is one I've enjoyed growing for several years. And I hope to grow it again later this year. :-) My current vines are starting to wind down in their life cycle. I plan to start some new seeds this week. Get them growing, so that they will be ready for transplanting when the current vines expire. The heat index here has been horrible. We are experiencing temps like we normally get in August/September only it's only June. Not good.

Joseph - Pretty pink bloom on your N26. Are you growing any named cultivars this year?

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Joseph - I just saw your large blue blooming N29. Very nice. Where did you get your seeds from? It looks just like the Blue-purple large bloomer I grew my first year. I'll try to find a photo. Mine had the white throat, too!

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

I found a photo of my blooms, Joseph. The photo makes the blooms look purple, but they were actually blue with some purple highlights.

Jackie - Is your "Good Morning Violet", Sunsmile Violet? http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/170663/ Love the deep purple bloom with white border! I see you have it growing in a basket! Beautiful!!!!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Becky. I think my Good Morning Violet is Sunsmiles Violet
Hope you're 2nd set of vines produces blooms as lovely as your 1st
grow-out this season.

Joseph love the blue N29, amazing color

More lovely blooms Helena. I had 1 Sazanami open today, the bloom deformed as sometimes happens with the 1st bloom.

Here are my first crosses of the year. ((Early call pink x Akatsuki no Umi) x Pink Shibori). I had to cross them early because the anthers in the first flowers of pink shibori produced no pollen. Successful so far :-)

Nice MGs, MGMan!

Here is a new one that opened today, N33, which to me resembles Akatsuki no Murasaki. It was a large velvety flower.

I like the shade of blue in this second flower of N19, almost the same shade as you see in Blue Silk.

A small pretty blooms from Becky's Diluted Fuji no Murasaki. I'm sure the blooms will get larger, I've had them growing in too much shade.
