Several of my yarrow plants have strange yellow stringy stuff growing all over the plants. It looks like very, very thin spaghetti. What is this stuff and how do I get rid of it?

Do you have a picture? Can't imagine. I have yarrow and do not have that.

I think possibly ecrane3 has it nailed. I posted the question last night so couldn't include a picture. But here is the picture and it looks like dodder. What do I need to do to get rid of it?
That is the strangest thing I have ever seen. No kidding. Weird. How DO you get rid of it?

It was dodder after all. I thought maybe I could just be very diligent in pulling it all out before it went to seed. That is impossible, so I finally dug up all the plants, sprayed the area with Round Up and waited a year. I have now replanted in that spot and it is dodder free. Thanks for the help.
Glad you finally got rid of it! Nasty stuff.
