Hi, I planted 2 Belle of Georgia peach trees last spring in my Zone 7 (North Alabama) garden. They grew fast & had lots of blossoms this year followed by a lot of little peaches, but then they all fell off. I Googled it & read about June drop where the trees will naturally thin themselves but that doesn't sound like what happened to mine because ALL of them fell off.
I'm so disappointed! I did notice that some of the leaves were sort of reddish looking & a little crinkley and curled. Guessing now that maybe I should have sprayed them with something?
Any info appreciated!
All my little peaches fell off the trees
Bump.
Anybody?
Can you post a picture of the leaves? It could be peach leaf curl. Unfortunately it's one of those fungal diseases that you can't do much about once symptoms show up--you need to treat preventatively for it before the leaves emerge in the spring. The good news is it shouldn't kill your tree--just make sure you apply fungicide at the proper time in the fall and/or spring to prevent it from coming back next year.
