Does anyone have a suggestion for a good white hydrangea - one that I can cut and dry? I just purchased Annabelle. Maybe an older variety with dense foliage and lots of heads. I'm not that concerned with the size of the heads. I'm in 6A - Southwest Ohio.
Thanks.
Looking for a good white hydrangea
Any of the Hydrangea arborescens, species or clones (from whence 'Annabelle').
Any of Hydrangea paniculata will work, and 'Tardiva' has big old pyramidal blooms.
Finally, most any of the Hydrangea quercifolia work well too, but some of them will turn pink if you don't watch them.
Hydrangea Paniculata "Limelight" is strikingly beautiful and high in demand. In addition to white, you will get blooms of very pale green and some ivory as well.

" Little Lamb" is a fairly new variety it has large whir cone shaped blooms. This is the 3rd year that I've grown it.
