I have 10, 2 year old Asparagus plants I would like to move to another location, and add more plants to them.
Question, would it be OK to move them now ?
I'm sure the best time would be fall, but if I can do it now my life would be easier ^^_^^

Trasplanting Asparagus
Hi Dwight,
I've only moved asparagus in the fall and I suppose you could move them in early spring. The reason why these times work best is because these are times of higher precipitation. Also, at this time of the season the asparagus plant is sending a lot energy to the roots so that more spears will be produced next spring. I would not touch them now.
Thanks Helen
Well I dug up am asparagus July 20, they sat in a crate for a weed and the I planted them in a raised bed. Lots of year old leaf mulch and rabbit poo.
Looks like they all made but maybe one in the center.
I received 6 strawberry plants from a friend in June, planted them in a 10 gal pot and the runners are all over the place so I will move them in with the asparagus and let them run over the sides.
Dwight
