Mandevilla

My manadevilla had the most beautiful pink flowers but has stopped blooming now. I may need to move it to a more shaded area. Does it need feeding and with what?

I am really a novice but am trying to learn about each plant as I go and your feedback is so helpful. Thanks to all of you.

I would think it would benefit from being in a spot with part sun during your very hot summers. A spot with some midday shade would be ideal. A high phosphorous fertilizer (10-20-10) every two weeks during the growing season (right now) should encourage more blooming.

I love mandavillas. I have grown them in full sun, with wonderful results, and now I only have partial sun and again wonderful results. I think what they like the most is not being overwatered. I only get filtered sun most of the day but some midday full sun. I am attaching a picture from last year. You can see they will florish without full sun. They are a tropical plant and all the tags on the plants call for full sun.

ernbran,

Wow, mine never looked like that. I obviously have some work to do. I am going to move it and give it more climbing room. Right after I made the above post it started blooming again.

thanks for the picture,
