Can anyone tell me the best way to get rid of dandelions that are growing in the middle of a flower plant without tearing up the whole plant? Thanks so much!
REMOVING DANDELIONS FROM THE MIDDLE OF FLOWERS
They make a tool designed for that purpose. I have used a screw driver. Push the screw driver along side the root of the dandelion and pry side ways. Do this on all sides of the root to loosen the soil and break away some of the feeder roots. Dig away a little soil at the base of the dandy plant to expose the root if you cannot grab it with your fingers use pliars.. If it resists keep prying and it will eventually come. Try to get the entire root. If you leave a portion of it it can regrow.
Thanks, I'll try that.
