I know so many people who complain about a rainy day but as a gardener I know my babies are getting watered the best way possible. Does anyone else have a picture of their beauties in the rain?
Pictures of Rainy days...
That's one pretty pic DL! love the wishing well!!!
I count my blessings on rainy days. Nothing makes my garden happier (unless it's been raining for like two weeks). Sometimes I get bummed if I planned on spending the day in the garden and get rained out, but without the rain I wouldn't have one in the first place. I know my plants would probably like to see the rain more than myself lol ....
Beautiful pic!
Thank you ladies. That is actually a working well, we use it for our house. Which is another reason I told my husband I wanted to go with no pesticides and no chemical fertilizers so our water could remain as clean as possible. Worm castings....they're AMAZING!! My plants have grown quite a bit since I took this a couple weeks ago. The wood chips you see on the left of the well are the top layer of my most recent lasagna garden. The whole bank and yard behind the well are a lasagna garden also. (picture of that posted on the Lasagna Garden #3 thread) The goal is to have almost the whole front yard flowers and shrubs. The area to the right of the well with the wall around it is a section we put in last year and it is FULL of worms. It's also where we plant our annuals by the driveway and will be partially filled as soon as I get my bulbs I'm waiting on from a clearance sale. On this side will be a flagstone patio with a pergola and sitting area. One day I will get to make my bird bath/fountain out of river stone to really help attract birds. We started all of it because of a yard full of weeds my husband got tired of looking at and mowing. This picture is to the right of the well. It's so fun to plan and expand!!
