Here is one of my blue "Wave" Petunias I planted around the small, round bed where my Wintersweet Shrub resides....
It is kind--and all accepting--and gladly shares it's borders with other plantings.....
Usually--I plant red/red wax Begonias there--but this year--I could not resist the bargains I found at Lowes. Large 4" pots of Wave Petunias for $1.25!!!! WOWSEE!!!! I bought a tray-full!
June blooms
Here is one of my recently planter Lantanas------I LOVE this color combo!!!
These are in the bed by my front door.
Jill--Your pink and white Zinnias (from Joyanna) will be the higher backdrop to these--when they get tall.
They are growing well--and have really taken off with all this heat.....
Can't wait for everything to grow as tall/big as they are supposed to! It will be a very colorful bed!!!!
And--lastly (at least in this posting-----YAWN.......)
My first bloom of my "Estonian Clematis "Piilu" ("Little Duckling")--that I ordered from a catalog.....
It is small--but that is why I will be able to grow it in a container.....on the shady side of the steel post that hols up my patio. I posted pics of this setting earlier---somewhere.....
OOPS!!! I forgot this one--as there was takl about "Creeping Jenny".....Is this IT?????
I just go steal some from my neighbor's front bed--which is infested with these....
I do not recall ever seeing yellow flowers on these though??? ARE these called "Creeping Jenny"????
Thank you for--hopefully--NOT being bored with too many pictures I posted!!!!
i DO get carried away!!!! And then--when I look at all of the ones I posted--I say--"WOW!!!! You mean i have ALL these in my Garden?????"
I have a hard time realizing what an assortment of plants/flowers i DO grow!!!! It is like---"WHERE????"
Love your planter, Gita. A great mix. I LOVE heliotrope. It was one of the first plants I grew from seeds. The one I had was tall - about 3 feet - and scented my entire yard that summer. I'm going to have to hightail it over to Lowes and get me some.
How did I manage to not beg some of that not chocolate daisy from Critter? It sure is pretty.
Sweet williams, the biennial dianthus, are one of my favorite flowers. Also very fragrant, Chantell. Long before I had a garden, there was a flower lady who sold flowers on the street in Richmond and I bought bouquets of them from her.
That last bloom is definitely your prettiest one, Jen. :>)

I can't rave enough about what I terrific daylily seller they are. Great prices, sent wonderful plants and wonderful bonuses too. I bought mostly $5 daylilies and Citrus Kick was actually one of the bonuses I was sent. They let you list what bonuses you want.
This is their big plants compared to plants from another seller.
Oh Yeah HUGE fans.
Guess what I got at HD yesterday????? Part of their sale of gallon Annuals---$4 each!
This is ONE plant, though.....well pinched and grown....
A BLACK petunia!!!! It is called "Black Velvet"--and sure lives up to it's name! Not sure yet if i will plant it in a bed--or in a planter with some complimentary colors.....
Here she is!!! Amazing!!!!
Thanks Sally, all my gardens are spread out(almost an acre) so doesn't have that WOW effect I'm going for(yet)
We've been here only 6 years, so slowly but surely I'm getting there.
coleup--thats amazing! I have a tomato flower...
Robin Thats amazing too!
jen I didn't realize you had that much room. You go girl. You need to attend swaps till that is filled up. Its like exponential. You build from small and then one year everything doubles one more time and BLAM
OH MY G------
Talk about a blank slate! THe potential!
We picked our house partly because there were established trees around the back. I kinda wish I had room to plant trees of my choice, now. I seem to be good at sprouting baby trees. I rescued two more baby redbuds at moms yesterday. Got another american sycamore, baby oaks baby red'japanese' maples, dogwoods.
I'd almost be scared of that big lot. Actually I'd be starting things piecemeal, then really wishing I'd made a total plan first.
Nothing overly significant--but these are the irst blooms of my Estonian Clematis "Piilu" (Little Ducklung)
that I ordered. The blooms are barely 3" across.....but, it is blooming!
Planted this in the pot against my patio support post--on the shady side.....
This one is one of the "small" Clematis and suitable for some shade and for containers.....

We have millions of acres of Mt. Laruel growing and in bloom right now. North-Central Pennsylvania has three phases of Laruel: pink, white and red. There seems to be no order. They clump in groups but not really equal groups. The mountains are white over all with the other phases showing up here and there.
I took a drive with a buddy today. He is in the one picture. There will be three pictures.
Aren't they gorgeous? Fascinating little cup shaped flowers. I didn't know there are pure white.
Hi Sally!!! How are things in MD?
Doc, I've been wanting to grow native Mountain Laurel for years now, lucky you! It doesn't transplant well and none of the garden centers around here are allowed to sell it, so I'm told. I have a hybrid variety, which is nice, but nothing like the native version.
We have a lot blooming here today. I took some pictures this morning of some while I was picking raspberries for pancakes ^_^
