This was my first year to include hyacinth in with my pansies in pots. I loved them!
I have since removed the pansies and replaced with summer annuals and the hyacinth leaves are almost gone.
Question is, will the hyacinth bulbs be OK in the pot til next spring?
hyacinth in pots
How cold does it get there in the winter?
Place your pot of hyacinth's in a closet & keep them dark until late winter, then bring them out again & start watering them once a week... you should see growth within a month after that. Just make sure that where you put them doesn't get damp or hot.
I'm in zone 7b. I'm not going to put the pot in a closet. I keep pansies in it all winter. If I have to dig up the bulbs I will. Just wondering if anyone has had luck leaving them out.
I had left mine out & they all dried up.. hence.. they died..that is why I mentioned the other idea as that worked for me better. Hope you have better success. :0)
