I bought six new hanging baskets this year to go along my fence. They are doing great, but do you just leave them in the pot they come in, or do you replace the dirt in the pot? How long should they stay the way they came, before you do anuthing else with them?I was afraid after a certain length of time they would depleat the soil.Any advise would be great.
Thanks,-Lynda
Hanging basket Question.
If you bought the baskets planted with annuals - they ought to last the season with no changes.
you need to water because the water dries up fairly fast
most come with whatever (fertilizer or moisture holding pellets) already in the basket.
Thank you. Thats just what I needed to know.
flower.
In Victorian times, certain flowers had specific meanings because the flower selection was limited and people used more symbols and gestures to communicate than words. But today, with so many flower choices, there are no rules - it's the sentiment that gives the gift its meaning. Your florist can help you send the right message. Many people assign their own personal meanings - a flower or color that might remind them of a special event or moment in their lives. For those interested in the historic meanings of flowers, the Society of American Florists has compiled this list from a variety of different sources:

I think you posted to the wrong thread. You might look to learn if you did because folks asking about the meanings of flowers would probably like to have the links you sent.
