Sparta , TN(Zone 7a)

Welcome to Dave’s Garden ! it’s an Awesome Site and the folks here are real nice.

Welcome Honey suckle moon Hope you are doing well this blessed day. We are having wonderful sunshine today what a wonderful brake from the rain we have had for the past weeks. Where is Crawfordville close to I know a lil about FL , I lived down there for a while .

Crawfordville is close to the capital city of Tallahassee. There is a thunderstorm brewing right outside as we speak...my garden will be very happy! It's one of those popcorn showers....it'll be gone in a half hour or so. 89 degrees and very humid outside.

Sparta , TN(Zone 7a)

So HSM you Live in a Little town much like me . I like the name (Wakulla) sounds like an Indian name But much of FL is named form Indians ancestors too. It shows up on the radar with a bad storm headen your way. My garden is happy every time it rains it seems like it grows double but I know better , however it is doing well, I am blessed by the Lords Grace on the garden.

Yes, Wakulla is an Indian word. It's exact meaning is obscure, but most settle for "mysterious waters". My dog is such a scaredy-cat! She hears the thunder rolling, and is hiding under my desk! Poor thing!

Sparta , TN(Zone 7a)

LOL thats ok we have an adopted Cat when it showed up it could craw under the doors in the house and any close basket you put over it . it was bones with skin streched over it . now two months later a fur shaven to get rid of the matted clumpsof fur, clipping claws, defleaing, several baths brushings and a few shots from the local co-op for kitten to be. she (Trixy) is a Ball of fur with Claws that that is more plump than the Christmas turkey ready for serving at dinner.

Trixy has emerged as one of the nicest cats to ever have yet despite her life of outdoor liveing she too is terified of storms and runs throughout the house until one of us catch her and hold her tocalm her down or the storm passes ... mose annoing at the early am times if you know what i mean . you would think some one was tearing the house down.lol

Charlotte, NC(Zone 7b)

Sgt Yates - I wonder if your Trixy ran away from a previous storm and couldn't find her way home again? I wish everyone would put micro-chips in their animals so they could be returned to their loved-ones. My little dog Chloe has one.

She is afraid of thunder storms, too. She's also afaid of rain, but I've noticed the past couple of weeks that she doesn't seem as scared of rain as she used to be. Perhaps it's because we've had a lot of it lately and she's become used to it.

Awwww, Chloe is so cute! She looks like she's smiling in that picture!

Sparta , TN(Zone 7a)

Honey Bee,

While Miss Trixy has been checked for a chip and has none she was barley a kit when she showed up not much more than a hand full. I don’t know if she was lost or given the boot to the side of the road. Like I said I am not really a cat type feller. However, for the love of the youngens I said ok and bit my lip till it bleed. LOL but they must keep the box clean and keep her feed and groomed ,so far their doing good and so is miss Trixy but she is still not storm friendly .

Pretty Pooch what kind is she?

Sparta , TN(Zone 7a)

Well i took a brake to go plant my lil cherry maters put some fertilizer on the plants and brake up the soil around the few plants that were not done the other day and the pretty weather went south its raining not hard just a nice light rain but I got it all done . good Lord does have a since of humor . his way of saying git out of the garden i guess. LOL

Charlotte, NC(Zone 7b)

Sgt - I didn't realize there was a question here I hadn't answered. My little dog is a Malti-Poo. A cross between a Maltese and a Poodle. She is my little lap puppy and I love her dearly. She'll be three next month.

Yes, that photo does make it look as though she is smiling. Sometimes she looks as though she is laughing. She follows be everywhere and I've trained her to be obedient. She's had a hair-cut since that photo was taken, I'll have to get another picture. She is really, tiny, weighing under seven pounds.

Sparta , TN(Zone 7a)

LOL I miss some if mine too Honey its ok
