clueless about carrots

Flint, MI

Help! I planted carrot seeds a week ago. My problem is weeds attacked and I have no idea what a carrot looks like when it first pops out of the ground. I know it's too early, but I still do not want to risk pulling the carrots. My garden tends to grow very large very fast and it would be just my luck to pull them. If someone can tell me or even post a picture of what they first look like that would be great!

carrots look like tiny parsley i'll up load you a pic when the rain stops however i doubt you have any carrots up yet i planted mine like some 45 days ago and just found them two days ago and they are only 1 to 1 1/2 inches their tiny . but you might uproot the seed. you can pull the weeds around the row just leave the row standing they will be tender for a while.

Look at the leaves of the ones attached to the carrots in the grocery store. When they start out they look like tiny tiny skinnier versions of that - kind of ferny looking and rather pretty. Last year was the first year I grew carrots and I thought I had a "crop" (ie one row) failure, it took so long for them to grow and when they finally grew, the tops were prolific long before there were actually edible sized carrots.
