Does anyone know of a variety of grass or ground cover that can thrive in a hot, dry climate as well as growing in both shaded areas and those that get full sun?
Oh! And the soil(if you can call it that) is very sandy.
This part of Georgia is just not getting the rain that it used to, and a drastic increase in water/sewer rates has not made things any easier.
The front yard does get the full brunt of the afternoon sun.
The back less so.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Unrealistic?
Check out High Country Gardens for a great selection of Xeriscape plants. You can do a search by soil type, light requirements and zone and more detailed info on bloom time and color, etc

I've been exploring wiregrass. And others have mentioned peanut and sounds ideal but needs a certain zone
