Nutsfordaylily, Thanks, that would be, I think, Sib,Roaring Jelly. Too many iris, just kidding. I have a bunch on NOID ones too. I need more salvia. Nice one. How many years from seed for that impressive peony? I almost bought a Scarlett O'hara today, but fall is a better time. Hard to resist it, but I did. Drum roll for me, please.
Flowerjen, Thanks, I like Emily Ann too. I had forgotten about it as I don't think it bloomed last year.
Great spider shot. . Patti
Karen dont you wish the poppies lasted longer than just a few days.
Bbrookrd:
Its doubtful I will get to the island in June.Sorry,I really looked forward to a meet and visit. Your iris are wonderful.
I believe my 8 inch poppy is Beauty of Livermore.Looked it up and it blooms larger than other reds.
nice Patti... your flying solo looks like it might be pretty close to my noid zebra will have to take a closer look... thanks!!
Karen love this noid!! http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=7838431
I love the Martagon lilies! Must try some. Patti, the Tiger Honey iris is my fav. Karen, the pink rose that you liked is a shrub about 3' high, but very narrow....the roses start out like perfect tea roses, & are scented like them, but the shrub is hardy to zone 4....I think Pixie has the same one, but I don't remember its name. Allison, your rose is pretty...something is munching my flowers as well, & I've sprayed.
Its sad but true,my huge ones are opening 1 at a timen not the whole bunch
I have the out facing one too.
wha-
The 'Knockout Pink' is a close-to-perfection photograph of a great rose, be proud!
As always, loving the structures, so the stone arch with the allium and lupines (?) is classic!
Robindog, love that White Amber. Wha, glad to see your arch in such a wonderful collection of plants. Patti
Nice blooms Karen, Jo, Patti, Bill & Robin!! Wow, go away for a day and things just fly!!
Looking good, people!!!
all work and no nap today... I am going to be passing out early.. but we got a lot done... love every ones blooms
Thanks, everyone!
Patti, thanks for the ID on that purple sib. I've added it to my wish list. I'm trying to get rid of most of my blue sibs that seem to everywhere, and I want to get more of the different cultivars, as well as some Japs. That impressive peony was about 10 or so years from seed. My mother grew that one, and it was in the bed when I moved here in 2002. I get seedlings coming up now and then, and I just let them grow. I have several that have come from seed.
JoAnn, yes, I really do wish poppies lasted longer. They're so fleeting. DL's are, too, but they have so many buds that open each day and continue opening for weeks. Why can't poppies do that? I just love your Martagons! I don't have any of those (yet!!!!!!).
Nice stuff there, Bill. Love the painted daisy. My friend Karen is going to give me some of hers. Hey, is that a thalictrum behind it, next to the blue tradescantia? What variety, if it is? I love it! I have to agree with BA6A on the pic of the Knock Out rose. Perfect! There are no blemishes whatsoever on either the petals or the foliage in that shot. Wish they could all be that way.
Marilyn, that White Amber sib is gorgeous, and so is that TBI. Do you know the name? More for my wish list.
