a deck was moved...
This deck was on the other side of the house, but the zoning said it was too big, so we built a new one.
This deck is now in back of the shed, where the horseshoe area is, now people can sit and have a place for their drinks or whatever.
The fire pit was cleaned and condensed.
It was a lovely fire pit, started out small but grew and grew over the years...LOL
We literally burned the old house in it!
and now Steve has burned the old bathroom in the new pit!
So with all the old gone, we will enjoy the small pit.
Even got Chuck to Mow the grass!
Heather got caught coloring, lol...
So Steve said if she wanted a ride in the boat she had to help
clean it...So the boat gets a cleanup.
LOL, but she did finish her picture!
It's hanging on on the fridge.

Stitting here studying..gone through 2 of the 5 chapters so far..10 questions at end of each, not sure they are the questions asked on the test but I'm paying special attention to them..few I wasn't sure of, thinks it's their wording NOT that I don't know the answers..right? By tomorrow I should be ok to take the on-line written test...

Jake sounds much like Kyle, always willing to make and do things for us..you should be proud of the young man Jake is becoming..I'll second you comments about keeping them busy...my boys were either playing on the lake with boats, skiing, snowmobiling and were always able to have friends at the house, little time for getting into mischief..their children are kept doing same things so let's hope they to get through teen years without much todo...
OMG there were 2 bike police officers patrolling the waterfront..had 3 young boys aside, checking out their bags etc. and on the otherside of the bay walkway were adults drinking beer, guess they had the wrong age stopped..ooops have a call

Well I've been studying the boating course all day..did the mock up test and failed...yikes, back to studying..
Who would have thought you needed to have 3 seats in order to tow a waterskier??? one for the driver, one for the lookout and one just incase the skier has to get into the boat..
the other which I found odd was when at a dock ready to gas you have to close all hatches and windows, I'd have though not, just incase the fumes would be trapped inside, so that was a no go..
Didn't know what a bifurcation boyd was... shows more than 2 channels..
Well, I'll study tomorrow morning and by afternoon I'll sign on for the on-line test..what's the worse that can happen..fail????
time to go home, with being busy and studying the day went in a flash..
Now to Fabricland to look for material for Greg's project, then Home Depot for more shrubs then a relaxing evening...

Picked up Greg's leather and seat sponge, he'll drop by tonight to see if it's what he wants, then picked up 3 shrubs at home depot...watering the lawn then later when it cools down I'll go plant them..could have come home with a car full..lol..
Called an old friend Harvey, he worked with Roger..we usually gab about our families at least twice a year, he's been on my mind so called, Peggy and he are well, he just turned 65 so has a few aches and pains, still driving transport..feel good about calling...tonight when I settle in will call Bob and Barb Warry, last we spoke he had cancer, saw that their cottage was for sale so that tells me he's not well..should have called awhile back, it's one of those things you keep putting off thinking if you don't know it will make it seem like all is ok...
Well off to eat, a bit of gardening and then to bed I go..

Just got a call to say my mom was rushed to the hospital seems she has blood cloths in the groin..said it was 'deep vein thrombosis ..she'll be seeing an oncologist at 9am tomorrow...guess all those falls and injuries haven't helped..

Betty - I think the law is 2 ppl in boat for water skiier's here. Never heard of having to have 3.... well if you take test and fail you can just take it again... (although knowing you....failing is not an option! :) )
The room I booked is in Fort Walton Beach Florida...my old "hometown". It's a condo I've stayed at about 6-7 times before.... but it's close to the "Military-owned" beach area...so you can wander onto that part of the beach where tourists don't travel...and find TONS more shells than the touristy areas. DH & I like to wander gathering shells and we put them in the back yard when we get home.
Just the 2 of us...we don't need the whole condo...but due to the coastal crisis...we got the condo for 60% of what it normally would go for. I hate it for my hometown...but I suppose by going and spending the $ ...I am supporting the tourist industry.
So sad for all the mess that is going on...

I was an excellent slolam water skier, spent many an hour behind the Foxy Lady, might not try slolam this summer but might get back to 2 ski's..
Are you all getting the extreme heat we are getting this week? we've broken so many records already..don't you find though with a/c that once you are in the house and comfy you've no wish to go outside? Kind of defeats the purpose of spring/summer
Was up early this morning and planted the shrubs I bought last night, a petentila (?) variegated dogwood and a ninebard, one side of the pond has high growth, the opposite side because of the large tree that fell last year needs shrubs but it will take a few years to look as nice...
Thought I might take the back way home tonight and stop at the Springwater Nursery, would like to get a few flox, hopefully different colors..once mature think they are so beautiful in the gardens..notice the iris are almost all open this morning, yikes, hard to believe in just 2 days the changes in the garden...always nice to walk and look and say 'hi' to them, maybe my speaking with them makes them grow..could be!

Betty lots of thoughts and prayers for your mom. One of the NASCAR drivers, Brian Vickers, is out of the race car the rest of the season, that goes until Thanksgiving, because of blood clots, he's 26 years old. I completely understand about not calling people, I am seriously the worst at it, I don't call anybody and I don't know why.
LOL Betty, I bet you were a great slalom water skier! I have no balance and tend to break bones, but do you have any fishermen in your family Betty? lol!

Stacey, Julia and I are into Nora Roberts books. This series is about wedding planners. The first is Vision in White. A very nice story about four friends...LOL, she has been trying to find the next book, but decided she will get it from the library.

Too funny, spoke to Harvey, Roger worked with him for decades, we talk at least twice a year, seems each time we try to catch up nothing has changed...then called Bob and Barb, he has had a great report re cancer, they are deciding to take the house in Midland off the market and might get to use it more now that he's clear of cancer (for now)..Barb said she should have hired me all winter long to work in the house which the call a cottage...both chuckled...they are 2 procrastinators..always much to do but never seem to get anything done...
It's in the high 80's today, very humid..some of our public places invite those without a/c to come in..already this spring they've had 3 advisories...
Greg comes tonight so we can either put a plan together for the bike seat or will do it..he's hoping by the weekend the bike will have been painted..yuk/yuk lime green and all that will be missing is the seat...
I get a kick out of him..I picked up the front wheel of the bike a few weeks ago, paid for it, he said, 'mom, I have to go to atm and I'll drop of $$$' then I picked up a few other things, said same thing, last night when I told him just the foam was $21.98 then the leather I heard the same story...lol...oh well, he comes over all the time to help me out, my way of giving back...

Betty - I would Love to see you waterski! I used to waterski...not sure if I still can... Since you can waterski...you could probably ride those segways easily...I found the turning in them very comparable...except that you are leaning more forward than backward.
I tried some Nora Roberts... but they were a bit romantic for me... maybe I'll try a more recent one.... I probably need to find a good book...it's been a while... I was enjoying Michael Crichton's novels....but only the more 'realistic' ones...not the science fiction types... If I had to recommend one...it would be "State of Fear"
I'm hoping tomorrow works out and we get out of town at a decent hour. No hopes though so I won't be disappointed just in case...
Yes Betty -it's been REALLY hot....almost a record lately.... 95 degrees yesterday. We get nasty afternoon thunderstorms this time of year...you can set your watch to... right about 4pm. But one finally hit at the house today and I loved it...like I told DH... after the storm when the sun came back out I went outside and I could practically HEAR The plants growing ! LOL

Ohhh, now so glad the lisencing place is at your second home!! Very convenient Soooo, it is almost time for Breenie to get her drivers license!! Good heavens, went yesterday thankfully it was too late, lol. Then she talked with her teacher today and found she needed a few things to bring with her. Like her proof of insurance. Eye opener for the girl! She has discussed this with dad, he will call and get her added with a price to her. Way extra money from us so payment on her part WILL be extra chores for her. Haha, so my nerves will calm down again until at least Tuesday...when she will go again, this time with her dad, whew...OMG, and I have a list of my own. She is to call when she arrives and leaves every destination, until I feel comfortable with her being solo. LOL, no cheating either because i know exactly how long it takes to get everywhere she want to go...I've told her to check if she wants with her sister, because I have no qualms about having her followed if need be, yes i know to the extreme, but I am an extreme person, lolol and if she is really lucky i won't hear any kind of siren while she is out.

yes we got tux omg first few days he and Kenny just full out war growling teeth ect tux wanted to be alpha male and Kenny had to put him in his place he only nipped at me the first two days but now he is a BIG BABY lol
yep spoil him to pieces he follows me everywhere and when I'm out of his site he starts howling he is so funny i just love him to death.
he and rainey get along good and when needed she puts him in his place its so funny, tux needs discipline but he needs to be spoiled so we walk our first walk at 5 am then when i get home we go for a longer one he is sooooooo hyper but i like crazy dogs anyhow,
had to go to my nephews graduation today omg i remember being in the delivery room with my sister seemed like it was yesterday wow time slipped right past me.
