Hello all,,
I was just wondering what is the best thing to keep animals (manly cats) out of my plants indoors. I have two cats male and female and one dog female indoors with lots of plants! The cats seem to like laying in my flower pots one killed my dumb cane :( from laying on it! I have just now started using moth balls but OMG they STINK so please help me find the cure to keeping them off my plants! I can't hang all of them!
best indoor
I have a friend that uses pine cones. He just lays some aorund the base of his bigger pots and one with less room he pulls all the pieces of the pine cone from the stem and lays the little pieces in pots. His cat does not like the little prickly ends, does not maim his cat, and he learns quickly not to get in planted pots.Hope this helps.

that is sooo clever... thanks for the tip!
There was another post about keeping animals out of planters- someone had used the clear plastic rolls used for carpets and turned it upside down. The spikes on the bottom side weren't very comfortable for the animals to walk on.
