Here he is with a "sore" on his back. Something been attacking him?
Daily pix No. 322
Awww very cute Julie!!
I'm glad some of you have enjoyed my giant Northern Flicker. LOL. And Duc, no I didn't paint the wooden bird, it comes as it. Lucky me! LOL. One can find those wooden wind chimes (all kind of birds) at www.Cohassetgifts.com
Julie, I've wild bird seed mix mostly with sunflowers seeds and raw peanuts. I noticed the Redheads are fond of the peanuts especially.
Residential Pekin Ducks. We've two couples of this type of ducks here locally. Though for the past years I haven't seen their youngs. Hope they hurry up and give us some babies. lol
They are very pretty ducks!
JulieQ - your baby Blue Jay is just the cutest little thing, I hope its back heals quickly.
Lily_love - nice ducks, reminds me of the Aflac duck on TV.
Hey, nanny_56, looks like your Brown Thrashers are doing okay.
Hack
Margaret, nice to see your pics of the Ravens. I love the one of the Raven school., and love GP caption of it. :)) Good news, I hear of Big Hook and Dad. Activity will soon be picking up at the nest. Thanks for the new start.
Hack, good job on the Robin bathing, I like all the water droplet, flying around. Have fun with your
Lily, I hate the thought of the Raven being so close to the Red-headed`s nest. Sure hope the RH woodpecker is able to defend it`s young, against such a large bird. Wonderful shot of the Pekin Duck
Duc lovely expression shot of the Flycatcher.
July, the baby Blue Jay, is adorable. sure wish he will heal well, poor thing.
Nanny, tell Tori for me, that she did great on the pic, and I would like to see more of her pictures.
I did not realized, my ISO was jacked up to 3000, when I took this picture. I had been experiencing different ISO before, in all sort of lighting and forgot to change it back to 400. I had to do some PSP on it to bring down the lighting. I wasn`t very happy with myself, because it`s not often, I see them sitting so close to my window.I find it not great, but acceptable.
Nanny, I love those Thrasher's!
Lily, Good shot of your Chickadee!
Hack, Nice shots!
Burn, Sweet Robin, Goldfinch and Hairy!!
Great photo's everyone!! Thanks for starting the new thread Margaret! Good to hear that the Osprey action is picking up, and looking forward to your great threads.
How about some shots of odd visitors today. My neighbor thinks the bird's follow me home. lol
Indigo Bunting...shot through the kitchen window screen..

That is an awesome photo Gazergirl!
The other evening, I was out at a local pond, watching the green herons... when this Mama Mallard quietly brought her babies right up to where I was sitting. it was like she was saying' "OK, here they are... take their picture!" And I did! Then I softly told her "Thank you for sharing them with me Mama!"
It was a nice moment...
Nice shots Wild_Rose and gazergirl!! Wild_ Rose great job on that close-up!! gazergirl, really nice capture of the Egret with the chicks..definitely a keeper! Congrats on your new bird's!! Please send me your Great Crested Flycatcher's please. lol

Wonderful pix everyone. Burd, how nice it's to have Indigo Bunting following you home! Gazergirl, the great Egret with the babes, most beautiful a setting! It's too my fav. Huggergirl, the shots through the window, wow! Very nice! Either you've the glass taken down, or it were nicely washed moment before? The pix is sharp. Va Wild Rose, those Mallards babes are the cutest.
Here is a couple Canadian Geese guiding their babes home at sundown yesterday.
Great shot of the Great-crowned Flycatcher VA_Wild_Rose. I went looking for Great-crowned Flycatcher and had no hits. But Great-crested Flycatcher had many, many hits. I think your "crowned" should be "crested".
Here's one of the hits.

Oh, and that Mama Mallard with her babies is fantastic!
gazergirl - looks like your Great-crested Flycatcher taking a sand bath. Nice.
huggergirl - that's a nice series of the Baltimore Oriole making its way down to your feeder
Lily_love - that was a sweet shot of the Canada Geese couple guiding their babes home - which brings a thought to my mind. Over at the pond at Cooper's Creek Park, I have always seen lots of Canada Geese. I think I'll get on the Harley and ride over today to see if I see any baby geese.
