How to delete a forum post?

I'm not a subscriber. Supposedly there is supposed to be a link at the top to be able to delete a post. I don't see anything like that on the page. After y'all have answered my stupid questions I want to delete the post so you don't have to keep on seeing it. Any ideas?

Hi Organicfarm -- to my knowledge, there's no way for an individual to completely delete a post, although the admins can do so; however, if you *really* need to get rid of (or change) something that you posted, there should be an "edit" feature on the left, under your name, date and time, etc. You could use that to remove the whole thing that you posted, although you (we) would still be able to see that you had at one time posted something there. You can only do that for your own posts, not for an entire thread.

That being said, the questions you ask may very well be something that someone else was wondering about and found the answer because you took the time to ask -- it's really the whole point of this place, "for gardeners, by gardeners" (or however that goes). It's what makes DG such a great community, we all have things we know about and things we need to ask questions about!
