Tomatoes & Squash planted every 2 weeks

Who is planting their veggies at 2 week intervals. Do you do it just for tomatoes & squash? Or also the lettace, beans, etc. Do you stop at 2 weeks, or keep going throughout the season?

behillman - I try to get everything in the ground before June 1st.

Right now, I have one row of beans to sow, and one small raised bed that I'm trying to decide what to put in it - then I'm done until mid-July. By then my onions/garlic/leeks should be out of the garden, and it will be time to set broccoli transplants.

Behillman, you're talking about succession planting. This is a way to harvest short season crops that are harvested all at once (i.e. spinach, green onions, lettuce) over a longer period. You plant these up to about 6 weeks before the season ends.

Tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, squash and other long season crops are planted in one period. Sometimes, gardeners choose to plant them twice in the spring and fall in hot areas.

Pelzer, SC(Zone 7b)

My intention is to plant tomatoes twice, and squash once. I try to plant new maters ( and my cole crops) in August, for a fall crop, just because by then the originals are getting tired. My squash never quit.
I say "try" on the tomatoes because I usually end up staggering the planting, but only because the plants aren't ready, the bales aren't ready, or I find a "must have" variety later on...

I planted lettuce and spinach one time in early spring, and harvested for about a month. Now it's too hot, so I'm going to grow them indoors for a while.

I plan to plant on 2 week intervals for both the lettuce and spinach, though some of the lettuce is "continual harvest." We'll see....

are you really supposed to harvest all your spinach all at once? I didn't realize, i was just picking off as much as I needed.

Its up to you. Some people like to harvest all at once. Some like to do a gradual harvest.
