I love english lavender. will they grow in cape coral florida? a friend is concern about high humidity.

It never hurts to try, but lavenders do prefer dry climates so you may have trouble with it. Spanish lavender (L. stoechas) is supposed to do a bit better in humid climates than English lavender so you might give it a try instead. Whichever one you try, make sure to put it in an area that gets plenty of sun, good air circulation, and excellent drainage and that'll give it the best chance.
