Helena,

Your photography is superb, what a classic shot of Maisugata. Everything in focus in each flower, awesome images of all your flowers!

Love your blooms Helena but that first bloom from Onalee's sds is
a beauty, Tsukiyono, absolutely breath-taking.

Helena - You've got quite a nice selection of I. nils growing and the colors are lovely! I hope your Diluted Fuji no Muraski shows the mutant blooms and puts on a real show for you! It was one of my favorites last year! Interesting bloom you got from the Tsukiyono seed pack! I like it! :-)

Here's a photo of my some of my container garden areas. Most all the plants in those three beds are all growing in containers ... self-watering containers or water (small pond) containers. With this heat, it is a nice success! I am very pleased that the self-watering buckets have done such a great job for all my plants so far! I am sold on self-watering containers!!! I still have to clean out the other 12 beds and convert to self-watering containers for all of those as well. I had plans to do that before now, but life keeps throwing me curve balls and ya just gotta go with the flow! :-)

Here is a close-up of one of the beds containing all self-watering containers with one MG vine, another container of salvia and turk's cap and then a 3rd container of 1 pink guara plant that has gotten huge. I am so pleased with how this has turned out! I had my doubts in the beginning, but the proof of success is looking at all these healthy plants!

what are those pretty pink flowers?

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Nicole - That is the Pink Guara plant in a self-watering bucket by itself. It was just a tiny plant when I got it in a trade a couple months ago. It's huge now and has been blooming like crazy! :-)

Becky, good job! your plants are beautiful.
Helena, the tsukiyono you have is very strange BLUE!
Normally it is rather that type :

interesting ! interesting !

Very nice bloom Tony and Becky. Thanks everyone. I agree Dany, I'm in dought that bloom is a NOID and won't refer it to Tsukiyono.

From my 2008 gray star, dark mauve instead.

They are all so beautiful!

Debra - Be sure to post the photo of it when if finally opens! Can't wait to see it!

Tony - Interesting bloom of your Early call pink x Akatsuki no Umi cross. I wonder why the bloom is so much smaller than either of those cultivars? I was expecting it to be a 4-5" bloom. The future blooms of your vine should be larger and it may have varying blooms on it because of the cross! ;-)

Helena - Do you remember who you got the seed from for this one? http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=7810158

Love all your blooms! I really like the NOID. Almost looks like Jackie's Fuji no Sora cross from last year. At least the stripes remind me of it! And Karen's Speckled Mix as always is very special! :-) Your Diluted Fuji no Muraski looks like the real deal... in a few more blooms you will start seeing more white and interesting wide stripes. And I absolutely love your pink/lavender stripes/blizzard blooms! Just gorgeous!

Tony, very pretty cross, I like it.
Becky, Your yard is beautiful again. Stunning photo's of
your gorgeous blooms. The self watering containers are
worth whatever you pd for them, keeping your
vines healthy and lovely.
Helena,I can't believe all your gorgeous blooms, to die for I'd say.
That does look like the mutant diluted, love the color of Asahi
and your Gray Star seedling.

here are my large-flowered i.nils from burpee's sunrise mix. the thing i hate about these is that they are very fussy about making seeds. for some reason, i like when the flowers are wrinkled. this makes me think of how big they are.

Thanks Nicole, Becky, and Jackie.

Becky, that bloom came from gray star in 2007, just one small bloom & only one seed. I don't recall from who gray star was from as I traded on the seed forum too. Pic of the bloom in 2007.

Not sure of name on this one.

Oh no, love wildlife Nicole but not when they eat things from the garden. I had a rabit for the longest time visiting my garden. We have quite a few red foxes that come out at night, love seeing them.

Love that blue akat no umi.

yes, I love that Akatsu no Umi. I had Akatsu no Murasaki last year and it was grape-purple with a dark center (not sure what color to call it, deep-rose-violet-pink?).
