I am in Minnesota, and we're just squeaking past our last frost here - we had snow just 10 days ago. But it has been a warm spring overall and the ground is super warm already and days are up in the 70's, nice and toasty!
Last Wednesday after several days of rain I bought 6 tomato plants (big boy, sugary, and sweet 100's) from my favorite supplier and tucked them into my garden where tomatoes have always thrived before. They seemed to be doing fabulously. The this past weekend we had to be out of town unexpectedly and I couldn't babysit them. The weekend featured very hot days and cool nights (mid40's, no frost.) As of our return: All the plants are covered in tiny speckled brown spots and were slightly wilted. I gave them a good soak, and they perked up a little, but the spots remain and they still don't look great. There's no sign of insects on them.
I'll try to put up a picture later.
Any ideas on what might cause small, light brown spotting on the leaves of tomato plants?
Light brown spots on tomato seedlings?
