Hi guys,
I am new to tree prop. and have made some air layers on one of my Japanese maples. What I did was remove a band of bark making sure to get through the green and into the white wood. Then I coated the wound in root-tone. I finished up by wrapping the wound with spargum and plastic and zip tie the ends. My main concern is the amount of water going in. I have attached a picture showing the rig and the baster i have been shooting water into it with. I am fairly sure I have done most of it right, but i do not know how much water i should be pumping into the bag.
Thanks!
CC
