Do I need to stake my tree?
Do I need to stake my tree?
If you get a lot of wind in that corner, I'd stake it using guy wires. You don't want it to grow crooked. If it's protected from the wind, it will probably be ok.
Thanks! She sways with a breeze sometimes but nothing I'm too concerned about. I thought that maybe she needed to be as a rule of thumb because she's still small.
I agree that in a really windy situation you would need to stake it, but a little movement is actually good for the tree in that it helps the tree develop stronger roots.
Thank you both :)
