I'm looking for something to stay around 8" tall, not spreading, to go into a bed of coleus that gets am shade & part shade the rest of day although it does face south. It can get steamy here in FL. I'd like something with a small true pink color and it will be under a pygmy date palm. Any ideas?
Thanks for your help!
Short & Pink

Creeping phlox
Creeping phlox may not do as well in that much shade.

I have dianthus in all kinds of sun & shade. It grows wherever I put it. Short & pink. Although it might spread, you can thin it out.

Flowerjen thanks but looking for something thats more independent not a creeper. Smileymom I like the dianthus but I know they can get leggy. Themoonhowl I think this might be the right one for this bed. I'll give it a try and post pics when its done.
Thank you everyone for your help. So far I love DG and its members!
