Does anyone know what this is and how to treat it? One plant already looks beyond repair, I'm hoping to save the second...or at worst to make sure it doesn't spread to additional plants. The leaves start to get these brown spots and then they eventually turn yellow. I believe the plant is a dracaena.
Help for plant
Your plant appears to have a "scale insect" problem. You can look on-line for a treatment but a home remedy for such consists of 2 teaspoons of dishwashing liquid per gallon of water and I also like to add a bit of rubbing alcohol as well. Spray each leaf both top-side/underside and down the stems and petiole. Check the plant often until there are no further signs of the insect.
