When you say they aren't growing at all, do you mean they haven't sprouted yet, or do you mean that they sprouted but the seedlings aren't growing?

i dont do pelleted anything. have never had no luck at it. seems the pellet never dissolves like they supposed too. try gently squeezing the pellet i do and seems to help some. just be gentle as seed in there somewhere or let it soak for a few minutes.

if pack say pelleted i stay away from them

they have not sprouted at all I am not sure maybe the type they were has something to do with it. they are called ice princesses. I have seen some in the stores already blooming called wave petunias the are very pretty do you know if you can buy them in seed? this is my first year to try seeds indoors the others did well I dont think I will try pellets again.

Petunias take 6-8 weeks from sprouting to blooms, so it is getting late for starting them if you want flowers before July. You can buy seed for wave petunias, they are more expensive than regular because they are a hybrid. Some people save the seeds from their waves, but they don't always come back exactly the same but worth a try.

I start lots of things from seeds and sometimes a batch of seeds just don't sprout. I had a lot of it this year, especially from petunias. I have no idea why. Congratulations on the sprouting of the rest of the seeds.

Cathy4 do you start your seeds indoors and what do you prefer to use to start them in my, friends saved all there flats and trays for me that there plants came in . do you use potting soil or those jiffy pellets ?

I use the jiffy pellets, some people don't like them. I've also sterilized and reused pots, but since I'm working in my kitchen, it is really messy. I start indoors under lights, and water the jiffy pellets from the bottom using water and a bit of hydrogen peroxide. In the seed starting forum, they can tell you the ratio, I'm sorry I don't remember right now.

I used the jiffy pellets and they did fine except for the petunias .

Interesting that it is just the petunias. My pinks did great, half the purples, none of the red and only 1 of the white. I used a different supplier this year, I'll have to go back to Parks next year to see if things go better.

have you been happy with the parks seeds in the past I havent tried them.

yes, they are more expensive than some but I have never had a problem with germination or the plants not being what I ordered.
