I germinated them from seed. Had adequate lighting (in a greenhouse type atmosphere) but they got tall and leggy. Maybe the pot they are in? Too small? Or do you think it comes from my germination techniques, it was kinda hot when they germinated. Wondering if anyone came across this yet?
tall pepper plants
Your light source was to far above the peppers. If using fluorescent lights, they should be only a couple inches above the plants. If you had them in or near a window they did not get enough light. New style windows with low E glass will not provide sufficient light.
A plastic or glass covered greenhouse should have plenty of light. I am not sure of some of the other coverings.

Bernie is right.
You might want to try pinching them to make them bushier.
