I have some cosmos and zinnia seedlings that are about 2 inches tall. Are they ready for transplanting. What about shipping? Seems they should get a little taller for shipping.
cosmos and zinnia seedlings
They need to be larger and will need to keep soil around the roots in order for them to survive.
I raise both from seed and planted mine at about that size with excellent results. The problem, as some suggest, is moisture. Seedlings dry out fast since their roots are near the surface. I carry a spray bottle around.
Great idea.
