Beautiful shots Rose! So the Orchard are a little more demanding than the Baltimore? Love the Grosbeaks!
I would love to see that one too Lily!
Daily Pics Vol 318
Elphapa, love that Gallinule!! Hope you'll enter that contest and win!
Rose, I'm in love with your birdhouse!! Just an hour ago I threw a pail in the trash and now I can't get it back!! Did you make that one? Love your pictures of the Orchard Orioles and the Grosbeaks-great job on each one!
Great oriole picture--I've just been reading Gen. Patton's speech to troops before D-Day. From the alertness of his hear, I think that he is giving quotes.
In our yard the Orchards rule..but so far we just have the juvie Baltimores. I think the Orchards are just so crazed for the grape jelly they need to have their fix...now!!
Duc...I didn't make that decorative birdhouse...didn't even notice it was a little bucket. If you make one be sure you show and tell!
That's a beautiful shot Rose!
Those are some great pics. of the Evening Grosbeaks Margaret. I wished if I could see one in person.
I lucked into this flock of Canadian Geese and their goslings. There seem to be 3 different families, couples with their young. As they feed, the parents were carefully keeping their own 'kids' in separated groups. The goslings appear to be in different stages. Some are smaller than the others.
Once again, this thread has the most gorgeous birds. I wish I could comment on them.
I managed a few shots of an osprey over the other side of the river last week. Lighting at this time of year is very difficult because it's so far to the north and it's impossible to shoot from any position other than this one. I thought I'd share them anyway. Here it is looking at another bird about to intrude on its peaceful meal.
Beautiful series of the gorgeous Osprey and the Raven, Margaret.
Lily, cool geese shot!
Margaret, I have so missed your osprey pictures and WOW very cool shots with the raven -- just amazing.
Rose, beautiful shots like always! I really love that last one of the orchard oriole.
Mcash, WOW! Fab grosbeak shots.
Wow! Great pictures.
It seems like lots of folks are seeing some great birds! Keep the posts coming, I'm loving it!
I had the cutest Juvie Blue Jay come up to me when I was hand-watering this afternoon. He came hopping out staring longingly at my waterer. Something spooked him, so he went away, but I put a sprinkler out and shortly thereafter he was out enjoying a bath for several mintues. Too sweet...
Really nice shots posted today everyone! Well my first trip to Ottawa NWR..only lasted about an 2 hours. Severe weather including tornado warnings and the rain was just too much to stay. Tomorrow will be cloudy but only a 30% chance of rain. I am in the hunt for new warbler's so my pictures will not be the greatest this week. Here's what I could get today.
Black and White Warbler...new
