I have a lot of weeds in my yard. What should I do? If I kill them the yard will be bare, but I need to get rid of all of the stickers and cockleburrs.
lawn problems
Assuming you want a lawn without weeds then you need to kill the weeds, then reseed the bare spots with grass seed once they're gone. Or if you've got more money than patience then you could also consider tilling everything up and lay sod, that'll get you back to a nice full looking lawn quicker.
Thank you

You could do what we did. Gave up on watering a dead lawn that did not want to grow. Planted fruit trees, vegetables, let the morning glory go wild over the yard. Hey it's green and lovely blue flowers. Hopefully, eventually the front yard will have a real cottage garden look. Bottom line, we're planting things in the front that we enjoy instead of trying to support a very nasty looking lawn.
