I bought these plants (Mystic Blue Spires) about 2 weeks ago and transplanted them that same day. There were 3 plants in a 1gal pot, and they were healthy, about 18" tall, and blooming nicely. Now, one of the plants (on the right) doesn't look so hot- the leaves are drooping and shriveling up, and the blooms are starting to fade but no new blooms appear to be in the works. What gives?
What's wrong with my Salvia?
That seems to be pretty common when more than one large plant sprouts in a pot. Sort of survival of the fittest. Plus, the roots may have been damaged in transplanting. I would cut the damaged plant back to the crown. It will either resprout, or die.
Ok, will do. Thanks for the advice themoonhowl!
You are welcome, John. I hope that works for you.
