I just purchased a King Tut and went to check on my plants in the sun room tonight and 2 of the stalks were laying down. How should I be taking care of this plant? Will it grow more stalks? None of the pictures I have seen show it being staked. I still have it inside as it is too cold to take it outside.
Can anyone help me? I was so excited to get this plant and now I feel like it is not going to do good for me.

What type of plant is your King Tut? When I look that name up in Plant Files it lists cultivars with that name of hosta, canna, iris, and hibiscus among others so you'll need to be a little more specific. A picture would help too--that would show what sort of plant it is if you're not sure, and will also help with figuring out what the problem is.
Thanks for writing. It is papyrus. Sorry I don't have the ability to post a picture. If you go to the proven winners website there is a picture and video. It grows 4' to 6' and used for container gardening and flower beds.
The picture would really help on figuring out what's wrong with it. But since you don't have one the first thing I'd check is the watering--these plants really like water so if it's been allowed to dry out that could make it droop. Other possibilities would be a cold draft blowing on it, heating vent blowing directly on it, cat stepped on it and broke the stems...probably many others as well.
Thank you for helping. I received a message from proven winners and they think it was too dry. They told me to keep it really wet and they also think that new stalks will grow. We don't have any pets so it wasn't that. Thanks again for helping.
