Does anyone here have experience growing either 'Anna's Oxheart' or 'Amish Paste' tomatoes? These are both pretty well known 'heirloom' tomato varieties with good reputations. The Anna Oxheart type produces very large fruits while the Amish Paste produces paste-type tomatoes that are supposed to be better tasting and juicier than the common Roma paste tomato. I have access to a few plants of each of these types. However, my garden space is small so I'm concerned about just how large the plants get of these two particular types of tomatoes.
1) Anna variety -- I've heard the plant is large and can grow very tall, at least 6 ft. in height and maybe even 8 - 9 ft. Anyone know if this is true?
2) Amish Paste variety -- Interested to know plant size -- is it compact like Roma or similar? Also, is this a determinate variety (i.e., the tomatoes all ripen pretty much at the same time on the vine) or is it an indeterminate variety?
Thanks in advance for any info!
Tomato: Experience w/ 'Anna's Oxheart' or 'Amish Paste'?
