muscadine grapes in pacific northwest

Has anyone attemted to grow muscadine in western washington or oregon?
do I need a greenhouse? or a specific variety of muscadine?
It seems to me it would be possible but I don't want to waste my time and money if others have tried and it just doesn't work in this region...much thanks for any info

Acedekon, I think your summers may be a bit too cool for muscadines. Here is some info on grape growing I collected for another DG grape question. I hope it is of use to you.
