The leaves on my columbine plants are turning yellow and the plant has not even bloomed yet. What could be causing this?
Columbine
Is it a new plant? My new columbine don't bloom in their first year.
The yellow leaves could be a water issue. Seems too early for them to be going dormant.
No, the columbine is several years old. However, they are planted in the ground on the edge of a patio. Could the concrete be leaching something into the soil? They did this last year but not this early. They are ready to bloom but have lots of yellow leaves tinged in brown. Do they require a lot of water?
It's possible it could be the concrete or the water.
haha I'm not much help am I?
Actually I'm pretty sure they just need a moderate amount of water.

If the yellow is on the oldest leaves or the new ones? Could be they need some fertilizer.
