Planted perennial garden last summer in Zone 6b 7a. Perennials came back well, but suddenly many mushrooms have sprouted on my hillside garden with some rocks and clayish soil.Used some organic soil/fertizlier when planted the garden. The mushrooms are light brown with large caps, which are broader than taller. In eastern pA. any thoughts?
Mushrooms
Sounds like the organics contained some fungal spores. You can remove the fruit to keep them from "re-seeding" the area with more spores. Just collect them, place in a bag and dispose of them. For safety wear gloves and wash hands after dealing with them.
