Hi everybody.
My friend at work was asking me if I can id the bug that he found on one of his cactus.
Since I have no idea, I thought to ask the experts.
First one.
What is this bug ?
Dang I know the answer to this one if I could just spit it out!!
These appear to be nymphs of leaf-footed bugs (Hemiptera/Heteroptera: Coreidae); there are at least two species in the genus Chelinidea that feed on cactus - see http://tinyurl.com/23ar4ao for an example. If this is what you have, you also should see adult bugs that look like http://tinyurl.com/287vmcu or http://tinyurl.com/2fk8x7s
Thank you very much. It is exactly what my friend has. I already forwarded the link to him.
