I am part of a communal garden in downtown Toronto. This is our first year planting seeds. I planted squash, cukes, tomatoes, and eggplant in the little starter pellets, Unfortunately, I thought that I had to wait until he "real leaves" almost formed before I brought them from the top of my fridge to the window. (oops) Some of the seedlings came up quickly ( a few days!), Now I have leggy squash and cuke seedlings.
Can I plant them deeper into 4 inch pots, like I can with tomatoes? They are currently about 7 inches long, and surprisingly still quite strong.
Then again, perhaps I should start over?
darn.. leggy seedlings...
missfran - I would not recommend setting your seedling any deeper in 4" pots - except the tomatoes.
