I have been pinching my mums, & they keep growing up. They are 2 ft. tall. When do I stop pinching? Should they be blooming soon? It is the end of April
Can anyone help with Mums
Some mums are just tall! I had some once that were about 18 in. tall, or more. I think all of them are pretty, though. I'd stop pinchiing them, you may be pinching the bud off.
Some don't bloom till fall.

Where do you live? What zone? Hard to believe they are already that tall.
Some of mine are almost that tall here in zone 8b. I can get 2 big flushes out of mine, the first one in summer and the 2nd in fall. If I don't pinch them much, they will start blooming early....and that's okay with me. These mums are the ones that are typically 18-24" tall when they are in full bloom.
If yours are garden mums, they may be the ones that grow up to 30 plus inches tall. I recently bought some of the tall mums from Bluestone, but they are still small.
The last shearing should be July 1st for fall blooming mums
I don't have any that are not in a pot, right now. They came back from last year. They're a short mum. I don't have any tall ones now.
Typically most mums will give you two sets of blooms. One in late May/early June, and if ya cut them back right after blooming, they will bloom again in September/October. (but that may not apply to some of the colder zones. Here my mums are evergreen but "dormant" during the winter)
