Has anyone grown Heath in a container?
A few days ago a friend of mine was given a potted Heath plant in bloom. She lives in a town house and has no access to an outdoor garden. She'd like to keep the plant on her doorstep or patio. The question is how can she keep a potted Heath alive and healthy, especially during the winter months? We live in Nova Scotia, Canada so we're guessing she'd have to take the pot in during the winter.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to care for Heath in a container?
Growing Heath in a Container
Because Heaths and Heathers are so drought tolerant, they work well in containers. They have rather shallow roots, so a wide container is better than a narrow deep container. They do like a lot of sun.
Here is some info on growing them

Thank you so much for the excellent link on Heath & Heathers. I sent your message to my friend. She'll find it helpful, I am sure!
You are most welcome.
