This little guy is very busy storing seeds, I think he find there is to much competition, around. But I love watching him hiding seeds.

Downy Woodpecker.

Funny Lily, now you know she stealing from you.

The Blue Jay had returned, after about a few weeks of no show.

These two maybe Purple Martins? They're smaller than the other Swallows that I posted above. The right one in this pix was doing some serious singing to the other. ^_^

Burn, Very cute Downy Woodpecker!! I haven't see much of ours around. Handsome Blue Jay, I just put peanut halves in a silo and that has brought a lot of ours around more frequently.

Hi Lily, I was thinking Barn Swallows but I'm not sure. I tried to fix your pic a little bit but I don't think I helped much.

Lily I can't tell for sure if it's a Tree Swallow, but sure looks like it. I'll leave it to the experts. I've cropped and lighted it for them.

They look like they have a dark chin to me, thats what was made me eliminate Tree Swallows but I'm sure we will find out soon enough. :-)

Lily, Mizzy is a cutie!

Burn, that's a great photo of your Downy.

Thanks Pelle, Burn and Duc. The cropped and lightened pictures helped a whole bunch. Yes, the latter birds do have brownish/red chins. They were just chirpping away while their pictures being made.

Thanks Resin. Lily, With these Barn Swallows, how many types of Swallows do you have there now?

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Ummm, let's see the Cliff, Tree, Barn and one more species which was named by Resin before and I forgot. 4 species besides the Purples Martins.
