Drumstick allium-no flowers

My drumstick alliums have not flowered the past 2 years. They grow well, then in just days, they yellow & die. But the next year they come back. Any ideas why?

What conditions do you have them in? Full sun or shade? Dry or Moist soil?

Maybe try moving them to a different location... in the fall... I did that & finally have blooms coming.
