I want to start growing blueberries in containers. I found some advice that recommended adding a handful of 'soil sulphur' to acidify the soil. I have a bag of Green Light "wettable dusting sulphur" that is labeled for insect and fungus control, but it is 90% sulphur (don't know what the other 10% is, it just says 'inert'- I'm guessing something to keep it from clumping) . Can someone tell me if this would appropriate to use, or if I need to go buy another product specifically labeled for acidifying? Thanks!
sulphur question
You can use Azalea fertilizer. It will say "for acid loving plants" right on the bag. Blueberries like very acid soil - my blueberries are just beginning to bloom, but I don't expect fruit this year because the plants are still very young.
