I have 3 bears breeches that I can't get to bloom. I've had them for about 4 years, maybe 6 years. I've had them in full sun (wilted..BAD),full indirect lite, filtered lite. What am I doing wrong??????
Acanthus (bears breeches)
Is it in the ground or a pot? It needs the hole dug very deep. What zone are you?
Here is some info on growing Acanthus mollis. It may be the heat that keeps it from blooming???

It's in the ground. I'm in zone 7a. I've dug very deep holes for them Smokey_ S C. Thanks for the links themoonhowl.
You are very welcome. I hope they are of good use to you. You might also give your county agent/master gardener program a call and see if they can shed a little more light on the subject. Someone there may have some useful advice for you.
